
Our final Whisky of the month has arrived and we are celebrating with a live cross to New York Athletic Club for a virtual tasting, hosted by NYAC Beverage Manager and mixologist Julia Rickert. A bit about the Hudson Baby Bourbon below:
Tuthilltown Spirits Farm Distillery is New York’s first whiskey distillery since prohibition, distilling some of America’s most prized spirits in the Hudson Valley.
When you take the Hudson New York Corn Whiskey and store it in a first-use charred American Oak barrel, out pops the Baby. The barrel aging process gives this spirit a light sweetness and deep amber colour. This 100% corn bourbon has a bright, defined taste and a warm finish with notes of marzipan and roasted corn.
Tasting Notes:
Colour: Deep copper
Nose: Sweet corn and vanilla
Palate: Vanilla, sweet corn, caramel, oak with gentle floral notes
Finish: Long and slightly hot, sweet
