Tatts Boardriders enjoyed perfect weather and smooth conditions for the 5th annual weekend at Gerringong.

Some excellent waves were experienced in the offshore conditions on Friday afternoon, and again some clean but small lineups at 7 Mile beach on Saturday and Sunday mornings.

Member, David Young excelled in the BBQ department, both at breakfast and dinner, whilst some Members as Grant Peters had trouble keeping up with his son Bradley.  Marky Roo proved once again to be the perfect accommodating husband to his wife Deb, while both VK Werner and Nigel Murray bonded (pandered) to their respective kids. Shakespeare Dillon also breezed in on Saturday.

And now for the Yellow jersey award...There were many submissions made, and the Committee met long into the night to adjudicate. It was very close and only due to Spider Atkins non attendance and inability to add to his points tally, the prestigious jersey now rightly passes to a goofy footer...Frank Coyne, who matched his son Tom with some nice rides down at 7 Mile. He was outmanoeuvered a number of times in the take off area by the Kahuna but deserved his title.

A cracker weekend was had by all who attended, with perfect weather, some good waves and an abundance of humour.  We look forward to catching up again with Members, family and friends for our 2010 weekends, starting in March with Bendalong.

Tatts Boardriders club will be in Gerringong this weekend for their annual weekend of surf, sun and bbqs with friends and family.

To date they have booked 2 houses at Werri Beach. This is a great weekend for family and friends with plenty of surfing, golf, walks and bbqs. They need to know numbers for starters and will organise more accommodation if required.

The annual Boardriders Golf challenge is also set for the Saturday at the Gerringong Golf Club.

All Members and their friends are very welcome to attend the weekend, which is a great way to meet other Members, to enjoy time out with your family and some R&R away from Sydney.
