Wrap up
A group of 10 Members registered their interest to enter the 2009 New York Marathon this morning at the Club's New York Marathon briefing.
Vicky O'Dea, Travel Agent from Specialist Holidays gave an overview of the travel and accommodation packages including entry into the Marathon. Specialist Holidays are one of two offical agents in Australia registered to provide New York Marathon entries. They have extensive knowledge of the race with 15 years of experience and with over 400 Australians having used their services to participate in this magnificent Marathon event.
Entry fees into the race is $950 and Vicky advised the group of the ever growing popularity of this event. Whilst the race is still another 11 months away - Sunday 1 November 2009 - pre-registrations are required by the second week of December to secure your entry.
There was also a DVD presentation of one of our own Peter James, who completed the New York Marathon in 2007 alongside Tattersalls long time Fitness associate Brad Pamp. Peter and Brad shared their experiences of the run, with Brad also providing advice on training programmes for the Members.
