Tatts Open team finish first Cole Classic

Tattersalls Members showed plenty of class with exceptional swims posted at the Cole Classic Ocean Swim at Manly yesterday. There were 5 Tattersalls Members finishing in the Top 3 for their age group with over 3000 swimmers competing.

As reported in today's SMH, John de Mestre finished first in his age group 45-49 with a time of 22:00 and fifth overall. Chris Fydler finished first 23:13 and Peter Thiel third 23:23 in the 35-39 years, Grant Peters finished third 22:57 in 40-44 and Bruce Baird finished second 29.06 in 65-69. Congratulations also to first overall Shane Cross in a time of 21:52 and first female Stacey Hansford 21:59.

The Tattersalls Open time consisting of John de Mestre, Peter Thiel, Chris Fydler and Rod Owen Jones finished first in the Male Open team category.

Well done to all swimmers, and a thank you to our Athletic Department Trainers Artie and Damien for setting up the Tattersalls tent and assisting the Members with post race refreshments.
