Snooker & Billiards

Tattersalls Snooker and Billiards room is steeped in tradition, with the first games played in 1892 and the likes of Walter Lindrum (Australian Billiards Champion in the 1930s) and Eddie Charlton played at the Club during their careers.

    The Tattersalls Snooker and Billiards room is the only one of its kind in Australia and includes:
  • Main matchroom featuring the match table
  • Chiffonier scoreboard
  • Seating for 60 people and photographic memorabilia showing Walter Lindrum playing in the old clubrooms in 1934
  • Specialist lighting to allow for unimpeded spectator viewing and to accommodate TV coverage of special events
  • A fixed camera provides coverage of matches within the Members bar and gymnasium areas on level 2 and,
  • A glass end wall allows outside spectator viewing.

The Tattersalls Snooker Club is a very active and social club with its regular Scramble and Calcutta snooker events held throughout the year. There is a Championship event run concurrently with the Calcutta competition.

The Snooker and Billiards room comprises 3 tables, raised lounge seating, lounge, private bar and work desk area for club professional and they are regarded by leading professionals as the best private club facilities in Australia.
