It’s Official. Christmas is here and the grand adventure of a seaplane to Jonah’s for two leads the way.
Tattersalls’ 12 days of Christmas starts tomorrow launching a flood of gifts with the crescendo being the Clubs Christmas Showcase, drawn at the club Christmas party on the 15 December. It’s not too late to buy your tickets to the best family (re) gift set in Sydney.
Ticket prices are 1 for $10, 3 for $20, 10 for $50, and 25 for $100. Your tickets can be bought at the AD front desk or athletic@tattersallsclub.org or at the Members’ Bar. Tickets can also be charged to your house account.
The earlier you purchase your tickets, the more chances you have to win. Each weekday from now until the major draw a prize will be drawn, 10 in total.
A previous year’s winner Matthew Brathwaite-Young says, “Winning the Chocolate Wheel prize case was a highlight of the decade. It was a BIG surprise. I was in the dining room talking with some members and my ears pricked up as I only just heard Andrew Coorey call out my name a couple of times. At first, it didn’t click that I had won. But then the penny dropped and I was stunned! My wife was interstate at the time and thought I was joking when I rang to tell her we won. Winning the showcase made that Christmas a lot easier because there were so many cool gifts included. My mother still uses the iPad and my father got the soda stream. I think the wine and beer were safely looked after by yours truly.”
Our 2020 winner Anne Clarke adds, “ What a wonderful surprise to win the Christmas showcase 2020 during the grim Covid period. $ 100 spent on the raffle tickets made me feel like I was Charlie winning the “ Golden ticket “ in the Roald Dahl book. I won jewellery, tickets to ‘Hamilton’, books, lots of alcohol, a fitness watch, a Sydney swans jersey, a fitness pass to the Australian Ballet and many more delights. I shared my bonanza with my family and I still laugh about my excitement after winning “the whole showcase”.
