The Woy Woy Aquatic Centre hosted a recent short course meet in what has become a happy hunting ground for our Tattersalls Swimmers.
In what has become the new norm for our Tattersalls swimmers when heading to the central coast, our Athletic Department Member of the Month Doug Bartlett set two new records at the meet, including one national on his way to securing three gold medals.
In his first swim of the day, Doug broke the National record in the men’s 25m Butterfly, stopping the clock in 13.86s and claiming his first gold of the day.
In his second swim, Doug broke the branch record for the 50m butterfly stopping the clock in 31.79s and winning his second gold medal of the day
To finish the meet Doug won his 3 gold of the day in the men’s 25m freestyle, stopping the clock in a breathtaking 13.4s.
In what can be described as a successful outing, Doug now has time to refocus and shift his goals towards the world championships in Singapore 2025.
Well done Doug, on your amazing results.
