Athletic Department.

Our Club has a long-standing legacy with the Summer Olympics; you only have to enter the Athletic Department to see the names of our Swimmers on the Honour Board.

However, the pool isn’t our only domain; we have a proud history of hosting track and field athletes and rowers from the early 90’s.

Now, a new name has entered the ring. Our latest Olympian has continued the honours and has qualified for the upcoming Winter Olympics in Milan! Rosie Fordham (who joined in 2022) has been selected to represent Australia in the Cross-Country Skiing.

Rosie started cross-country skiing at 14, after first trying the sport at the Interschool competitions. A keen cross-country runner, Rosie transitioned to the winter version with ease. Rosie is currently studying and competing for the University of Alaska in both cross-country running and skiing.

Rosie will be competing against the world’s best, where she will represent the green and gold, and make her Club and country proud.

The events Rosie will be taking part in consist of:

  • 7th February – 10 km Skiathlon
  • 12th February -10 km Interval Start Free (skate her best event)
  • 14th February – 4 x 7.5km relay (team event)
  • 22nd February – 50km Mass Start Classic

These events can also be found here.

To cheer Rosie on, please send your messages of support to Malcolm, who will forward all comments to Rosie!

From all of us at Tattersalls, good luck Rosie!
