Recap. To celebrate the Year of the Fire Horse, the Club hosted a special Chinese banquet on the first day of the Lunar New Year, creating a vibrant and festive atmosphere awash in red and gold. The dining room was beautifully decorated with traditional lanterns, lai see packets and gold coins, adding to the spirit of celebration.

It was wonderful to see members and their guests embracing the occasion by incorporating red and gold into their attire, colours that symbolise good fortune, happiness and prosperity.

In keeping with Lunar New Year tradition, the Kitchen team curated an auspicious eight-dish menu, with each dish representing luck, wealth and prosperity. Highlights of the evening included abalone, dumplings, mud crab, roast duck, whole steamed fish, braised mushrooms, and, not to forget, dessert: a Golden Orange Fortune Ball, all perfectly paired with specially selected wines.

Members and guests thoroughly enjoyed the evening, which was filled with warmth, joy and celebration, marking a strong and prosperous start to the Year of the Horse.
