Our 2022 Members’ Christmas party gathered together Members & their Guests to celebrate yet another joyous year at the Club.
The evening was a warm celebration of all that is Club life to which our new Members get accustomed and Club veterans dearly enjoyed.
Thank you to Paul Chappell our exceptional MC for guiding us through the formalities Chairman Colin Dunn delivered his annual address, thanking all Members for your dedication and friendship.
Colin also encouraged Members, in lieu of Christmas tips or gifts, to support his initiative of the staff Christmas fund, enabling any gratuities to be divided fairly between all staff, back and front of the house. You can still do it by clicking here.
He also mentioned the substantial funds raised to date for the Club’s ‘Friends of Tattersalls Foundation’, created to provide funds under a highly developed governance system whereby we as Members can accelerate the Club’s ability to preserve its values and improve its environs. Paul’s humorous recap of our 12 AD Members of the Month in the running for Sports Person of the Year ever highlighted In his eyes (and all of ours) all just quite unfathomable achievements!
Next up was Peter Joseph, last year’s Club Person of the year to present this year’s award. Peter drew out tears of joy with his note about the power of our community and our values of honor et amiticia.
Fourteen chocolate wheel winners went home with festive goodies, and lucky Member David Thackeray was drawn as the winner of the festive showcase.
After the formalities, we enjoyed an abundant and delicious Christmas dinner, with plenty of comradery and cheer.
