Club Policies

Phones

Mobile phones must be switched off inside the Club or set on silent or vibrate mode. Any phone conversations must be conducted in the lobby on the second floor. The use of mobile phones in any other areas of the Club is considered to be inconsiderate to other members and their guests and is therefore prohibited.


Dress Code

While contemporary standards and common sense are the guiding principles of our dress code, members are expected to dress and respect the traditions of the Club. Members and guests will be denied entry if they do not meet the Club’s dress standards. Members must ensure their guests also conform to the dress code.

Acceptable attire for Members’ Bar and Dining Room
Business attire is preferred but jackets and ties are optional. Enclosed shoes must be worn at all times.
Men: A collared shirt, dress jeans and trousers are the minimum requirement.
Women: Dress, blouse, skirt, dress jeans and trousers are the minimum requirement.

Unacceptable attire for Members’ Bar and Dining Room
A collarless shirt (unless a jacket or collared sweater is worn over the top).
All sporting attire including sports shorts and tracksuits. Recreational or casual footwear (such as thongs or sandals) or untidy footwear.
When not conforming to these standards, members wishing to access the Athletic Department should go through the alternative entrance off Castlereagh Street.

Acceptable attire for Athletic Department
Clothing must be worn at all times outside the change rooms.
Pool area: Club-issued or personal swimwear in the pool area, sauna and steam room.
Gym floor and classes: A singlet, shorts, leggings, T-shirt and enclosed shoes at all times for hygiene and safety reasons.


Children

Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult when visiting the Members’ Dining Room and are not permitted at the Members’ Bar. The Athletic Department only allows children on weekends and they must be accompanied by an adult. On arrival the supervising adult must complete and sign a pre-exercise questionnaire on behalf of the child.


Reciprocal Guests

We welcome guests from our many reciprocal clubs throughout Australia and worldwide. Reciprocal guests must arrange a letter of introduction from their home club prior to visiting which may be emailed to tattersallsclub@tattersallsclub.org.
Reciprocal guests should make their way to the Members’ Bar or Athletic Department reception on arrival where they will be welcomed by our team.
While visiting the Club, reciprocal guests may access our Members’ Bar and Dining Room facilities, Athletic Department facilities and any member events.
Reciprocal guests must adhere to all Club policies as outlined in the above section.


Accommodation

While we are a non-residential Club, we offer special rates with several local establishments for guests that require accommodation. Please contact us for more information at tattersallsclub@tattersallsclub.org.

The Club may disclose your information to third parties that provide services under contract to the Club. These contracts require the third party to keep your personal information confidential and secure. Your personal information may be used by the Club for marketing purposes to improve our services and to provide you with the latest information about those services, any new related services and promotions. If you do not wish to receive information about services and promotions, the Club, on request, will remove your name from mailing lists.

You have a right to access any personal information that the Club may hold about you, including a right of correction of your information. The Club will not charge a fee for you to access your personal information.

  1. Purchasing Tickets Online

Payment must be made prior to the function/event to secure your registration. You will receive confirmation once payment has been taken.
All persons must comply with the dress regulations. All persons must comply with Responsible Service of Alcohol. All visitors to the Club must sign in as a guest of a member.
No credit card information is held or retained by Tattersalls Club.

  1. Refund Policy for Tickets Purchased Online

Refunds will only be given if notification of cancellation is received 5 working days prior to the event.
Changes to existing bookings can be made up to 48 hours prior to the event based on availability.
No refunds will be made where notice is received less than 5 working days prior to the event or once the event has passed.
