DESCRIPTION:Many\, if not most\, of you reading this will remember where you were on Saturday\, 16th September 2000. \nThis night will go down in Australian sporting folklore. \nOn this night\, the Australian men’s relay team broke the American stranglehold on the 4x100m freestyle relay. \nSetting a new world record and claiming gold\, the four swimmers forever etched their names in history. \nAlthough they were supposed to be smashed like old guitars\, Michael Klim\, Ashley Callus\, Chris Fydler and Ian Thorpe\, buoyed on by the raucous home crowd\, did the unthinkable. \nTwenty-five years have passed\, and still the goosebumps happen when we rewatch this race on YouTube. \nTo celebrate this event and to celebrate all things Tattersalls Athletic Department related\, Tattersalls is pleased to announce our annual AD luncheon is booked for Friday\, 12th September\, from 12pm onwards. \nThis annual luncheon provides members with the opportunity to mingle with like-minded individuals and build connections with health\, wellness and fitness as the glue that brings them together. \nThis event will likely be a sellout\, so we encourage a quick RSVP to events@tattersallsclub.org \nFor anyone interested in the race\, please click the link below and watch greatness unfold.

DESCRIPTION:Thursday 18 September 18:00 to 20:30 \nCost: $75 (Including Substantial Paired Canapés with the Rums) \nJoin the Business Forum as we push our usual timeslot of breakfast aside and welcome our Members to another Business Forum after Dark evening. \nWe are pleased to have the owner of Red Mill Rum and sixth-generation wine and spirits merchant David Fesq at the Club to take us through some Rum tasting whilst discussing the story about family\, the history of Sydney\, Rum and doing something that hasn’t been done before. \nRed Mill Rum is a Sydney-based rum producer that relaunched in 2020\, reviving a brand that was popular in the city in the 1930s. It’s now located in White Bay\, under the guidance of David Fesq\, the great-grandson of the original founder. \nDavid Fesq comes from a long line of wine merchants: his ancestor\, George Fesq\, started selling Bordeaux wines in Sydney in 1848.
