DESCRIPTION:The SGS 78 year have their first lunch for 2022 at Tattersalls Club on 1st April 2022. \nThe guest speaker will be Dr Richard “Spike” Barnes who has spent over 70 days at sea alone in his own designed and built kayak\, “Blue Ocean” \nWhilst his destination was New Zealand it didn’t seem to matter that he didn’t make it\, even though he covered enough ocean to get there. His band of followers were simply amazed that he survived and impressed that he did more adventuring than anyone in COVID. Come and hear about his journey and what went wrong and what he learnt about himself. Will all his preparation lead to another attempt or will he put this into the ‘just dreaming’ list of things to do?
