Squash Coaching with the World’s Best
Michelle Martin is an Australian former professional squash player who was one of the game’s leading players in the 1990s. She was ranked number one in the world from 1993 to 1996 and again in 1998 and 1999, winning three World Open titles and two Commonwealth gold medals. Michelle has also been inducted into the Australian Sports Hall of Fame.
We’re thrilled to share that Michelle is returning for one final round of exclusive squash coaching for Tattersalls members. After many years of inspiring and dedicated coaching, she’ll be stepping back, so we encourage all members to take advantage of this special opportunity.
Coaching will take place on Wednesday nights commencing 1 April and will run for five consecutive weeks. Sessions will last 60 minutes and will begin at either 17:30 or 18:30, subject to numbers. Participant numbers will be capped to ensure maximum knowledge transfer and participation.
At the completion of the five-week program, participants will have the tips and tricks, ready for the Tatts Round Robin competition later in the year. The cost will be confirmed closer to the commencement of coaching.
City Houses Tournament
As in previous years, we will be one of the host venues for the City Houses Tournament. Two teams from the Tattersalls Squash Club will participate this year, enjoying home court advantage each week. The tournament will commence on Friday 12 May, with the opening night event held in the Club on Wednesday 29 April.
Tatts Round Robin
As the City Houses season draws to a close, the Tatts Round Robin competition will begin to finish the year of squash. This handicap event is designed to cater to players of all abilities, giving less experienced members the opportunity to compete against more experienced players.
The first round is expected to begin at the end of October. Following last year’s successful format, matches will again be held across two consecutive Wednesday nights from 17:45 to 20:00, using both courts at the Club and the Castlereagh Club.
