Join us in celebrating your Athletic Department, which has claimed another award at the recent North American Association of Club Athletic Directors (NACAD) Conference.
For those unfamiliar with NACAD, it is the world’s leading organisation for private Athletic Clubs and serves as the sounding board for some of the world’s biggest Clubs, many of which the Club has reciprocal rights with.
This latest recognition adds to an impressive list of achievements for the Athletic Department. The team won Fitness Event of the Year in 2020, was recognised for its COVID innovation program in 2021, saw Athletic Department Manager Malcolm named International Athletic Director of the Year in 2022, and was a joint winner of Fitness Event of the Year alongside the Arbutus Club in 2023 and 2024.
This year, the Athletic Department submitted a program based on the Swimming Club’s innovative 14-week strength-and-conditioning and swimming program.
The program challenged participants to set ambitious goals and follow a structured training plan designed to improve both strength and cardiovascular fitness. The dedication of the participants and guidance of the team produced outstanding results, culminating in a strong performance at the NSW Masters Carnival in April this year.
The program was entered into the Athletic Event Program, a highly competitive category featuring more than 25 nominations. On the second-to-last day of the NACAD Conference, the Tattersalls program was announced as one of the top five finalists.
After a nervous few hours, the judges announced the Tattersalls program as the eventual winner. It was a pleasing result for the team and a strong endorsement of the program’s success, reflecting the dedication and collaboration of everyone involved. An award the Club is proud to add to their trophy cabinet and share with the members.
Please join us in celebrating this amazing achievement with your Athletic team!
