Recap

Last Friday, 6 March, we had the wonderful opportunity to welcome women from all walks of life to the Club to celebrate and support one another in recognition of International Women’s Day.

Unlike many events of this kind, the afternoon was kept intentionally simple — no panels, no speakers, just good food and great company. Liz Powter opened the lunch with a warm welcome and reminded us of why we are here to celebrate women.

The lunch continued to be joyful, marked with engaging conversation and a strong sense of community, as members and guests came together to recognise the achievements and contributions of women across many different fields and backgrounds.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the occasion so special. It was a fantastic opportunity to reflect on progress, celebrate accomplishments, and reaffirm our commitment to supporting the women within our community.

In their own words:

“My guests and I really enjoyed the lunch on Friday. Nice, relaxed environment and the food and service were excellent as always. We particularly enjoyed the hors d’oeuvres. Great value at $40 per head.”

“It was great to meet so many outstanding women and chat about their experiences. I came away feeling quite energised. I also want to congratulate the team behind the meals. The chicken was absolutely delicious, tender and succulent, which is quite a feat when so many meals are being managed. And of course the crêpes Suzette were decadent and nostalgic, a really nice treat. I must make the time to have a meal at Tattersalls more often.”

“I have received glowing reports from my wife and from her staff about how wonderful yesterday’s event at the Club was. There was high praise for everything from the room’s atmosphere to the fantastic food and the great hospitality and service. It was also very much noted how lovely it was for the Club to have its women join members and guests to sit and eat together on such a wonderful occasion. Please let Will and the entire team know that it was greatly appreciated.”
