School holidays and summer are just around the corner, which makes up for the perfect time to start planning your ideal getaway.

If you are brainstorming for a destination to enjoy the Australian beauty, see world-renowned art, eat freshly caught seafood, and climb a mountain all in one, then might we suggest the Athenaeum Club Hobart?

Summer is considered to be the best time to visit Hobart to soak in true beauty and paired with our Reciprocal Club arrangement, The Athenaeum Club in Hobart could be just what you need this year.

The Athenaeum Club Hobart was founded in 1889 by a small group of gentlemen, which was later designed by Mr. R. Flack Ricards in 1902.

Mr. R. Flack Ricards is reputed to have designed the North Hobart Post Office and the Treasury Chambers (Cnr Murray and Davey), City Hall, Werndee in Lenah Valley, and the Hobart High School among others. He designed the Club in a classic historical structure for its Members to be able to embrace an elegant experience. Only minor changes and additions have been made to the original building.

Our Members visiting this reciprocal arrangement are able to access their hospitality venue including restaurants, lounge bar, and snooker room, along with enjoying a stay at their in-house accommodation at a discounted price offered to our Members.

Beyond the Athenaeum Club Hobart, Tattersalls also holds reciprocity with other Clubs throughout Australia including Athenaeum Club Melbourne, Naval, Military and Air Force Club of South Australia, United Service Club as well as other popular clubs.
