A most enjoyable lunch and afternoon was enjoyed by all who attended on Thursday last for the annual Aurum and Argentum lunch. This is held each year to acknowledge both life and senior members, and their respective contributions to the fabric of Tattersalls. The venue was the Brasserie, where members enjoyed a stunning shared banquet menu and drinks.
We were all presented with a copy of the Tattersalls Club magazine published on the respective dates we each joined. Mine being November 1976, so I reach the milestone of life membership category next year.
Given my 49 or so years as a member, I obviously knew most of the attendees, but also relished sitting down with some of the older life members and hearing their stories.
I always enjoy the camaraderie and socialisation which presents every time I visit, either in the gym or the bar area. The various members backgrounds, vocations and interests always make for interesting and compelling attendance.
Thank you from all senior and life members for this acknowledgement.
