Members may notice brighter spaces around the Club in the coming months as we begin upgrading our lighting to modern LED technology. This improvement will deliver higher quality lighting while significantly reducing energy consumption across the building.
LED lights use about 10% of the energy of traditional incandescent bulbs and last up to 30,000 hours, compared with approximately 1,000 hours for older lighting. This means fewer replacements, lower maintenance requirements, and more consistent lighting throughout the Club.
The upgrade is expected to reduce the Club’s lighting energy use by more than 70 per cent, resulting in substantial energy savings and improving the overall lighting experience for members and guests. LED lighting also produces no heat, noise, or emissions and can be recycled at the end of its lifespan, making it a more sustainable solution.
