Thursday 11 December brought together over 100 members and guests for what can only be described as an evening of good company, great food, flowing drinks, and that special atmosphere that only comes when the Tattersalls family gathers to celebrate.
The festivities began early, with our keenest members arriving from 17:30. By 18:00, the Members Bar was packed with familiar faces catching up over complimentary drinks and canapés.
Our Chairman, Colin Dunn, welcomed everyone with his traditional Christmas address, before we turned our attention to this year’s award presentations. A massive congratulations to Michael Hanrahan, our 2025 Club Person of the Year, and Paris Zhang, our 2025 Sportsperson of the Year, two truly deserving recipients who embody what makes our Club so special.
Then came the moment everyone had been waiting for: the Showcase draw. The lucky winner of the evening was Michael Stiles, congratulations to him on taking home this year’s Showcase prize! Throughout the evening, our classic Chocolate Wheel kept the excitement going, with members trying their luck at winning one of our themed hampers.
As members made their way into the Dining Room, they were greeted by a Christmas feast that Chef Fernando and his team had outdone themselves preparing. The seafood section featured fresh oysters and prawns, while the mains showcased perfectly cooked lamb, turkey, and ham. And let’s not forget our legendary Pavlova, the perfect dessert to finish a Christmas dinner.
