The Club will host an evening with the Sydney Dance Company and NSW Waratahs. The boundaries between sports and arts will blur, showcasing the dedication, discipline, and drive shared by both domains. Together, they will explore the rigorous training, discipline, and mental resilience required to excel in their respective arenas.

Charlie Gamble:  A powerful running / on-baller flanker has walked a notably unique path in his rugby career – Christchurch schoolboy footballer, Youth Olympian, Crusaders academy, NZ U19s, NSW “Subbies”, Eastern Suburbs, Waratahs, Wallaby squad. Born in Canterbury in New Zealand, Gamble has taken the long road to Super Rugby, via the Crusaders Academy in New Zealand and through club rugby at Petersham and Eastern Suburbs in the Shute Shield. Gamble made his debut for the Waratahs in 2021 and has been an integral part of the team ever since, playing 23 games and emerging as one of the breakout stars of the 2022 Super Rugby Pacific competition. The backrower’s strong form in 2022 was recognised by winning the Waratahs Forward of the Year award and earning selection in the Wallabies training camp earlier this year on the Gold Coast.

Michael Ruthven is the Head Coach of the NSW Waratahs Women’s side and the Director of Women’s High Performance. Michael Ruthven has carved out an impressive coaching career in the world of rugby, marked by a series of significant roles and contributions to various teams. He has been leading the Warringah Rats as Head Coach since 2020. In 2019, Ruthven served as the Team Manager for the NSW Country Eagles in the National Rugby Championship (NRC).

After established himself as a prominent figure in the rugby coaching landscape through his dedicated and strategic approach to the sport. His career trajectory reflects a blend of passion, experience, and commitment to fostering rugby talent at various levels.
