Foggy Hill Vineyard is located on the Fleurieu Peninsula in South Australia. And at the tip of the peninsula, lies a burgeoning wine region, popular for its bright beaches and vibrant wines. Popular also with James Halliday, we have listed the 2020 Tapanappa Foggy Hill Pinot Noir, which scored 95 points!

The Mediterranean climate in this hilly region is influenced by the surrounding ocean, making the region cool by South Australian standards. And the 2020 vintage was cooler than average, thus producing this premium drop, and as a result, it tastes very ripe with its powerful floral notes. With flavours of pomegranate, black cherries and accompanying aromatics and spice, this wine is superbly matched with our featured dish – Steak tartare with cornichons, quail egg yolk and pommes allumettes.

This combination works so well because pinot noirs have a silky and sensuous texture. It is nicely balanced and features the typical fresh red fruits, earth, pepper and spice notes, rounded off with the signature minerality and acidity. The explosion of senses, the expectation, the Tattersalls of taste: the epicurean delight.

Tattersalls currently holds a very limited stock of this collection, as this 95 Halliday pinot was highly allocated, so to take advantage, please contact the team at dine@tattersallsclub.org to reserve your table today.
