As the excitement builds for our upcoming 10×10 Philanthropy Event on the night of Thursday 07 March, we are thrilled to share with you a sneak peek into the incredible charities that will be participating. In the coming weeks, we will introduce you to one of the remarkable organisations making a difference in the lives of those in need.
This week, we shine a spotlight on ReLove, a charity that embodies the spirit of compassion and direct impact. ReLove is dedicated to making positive changes in people’s lives by rescuing furniture and household items from various sources and redistributing them for FREE to those who need a helping hand.
What is Re-Love?
At its core, ReLove is committed to transforming houses into homes.
How it’s Done:
They rescue furniture from suppliers with surplus, returned, ex-floor stock and seconds furniture, corporate relocations, hotels, community donations, and removalists.
Also, they mobilise our community to raise funds for new essentials which provide dignity. Essentials like kitchen and linen starter packs and gift vouchers which provide the dignity of choice.
Re-Love’s Purpose:
The individuals who turn to Re-Love are often in the midst of a crisis. While they have been granted housing, they lack the possessions to make their house feel like a home. Re-Love steps in with a no-red-tape, no-delay approach, providing everything these individuals need to start as new.
Who are those impacted by Re-Love:
Re-Love’s reach extends to various vulnerable groups, including:
- Women and children impacted by domestic violence.
- People experiencing homelessness.
- Indigenous youth and families.
- People seeking asylum.
