As the end of the year approaches, our Sub Clubs have their last sessions or celebrations scheduled. We encourage all members involved or interested in any of their Sub Clubs to attend and meet some great people to grow and celebrate the community.
Run Club Lunch
Thursday 20 November from 12:00 – 14:00 in the Dining Room
Cost: $85 (includes a three-course menu and a two-hour drink package)
All members are warmly invited to our annual Run Club lunch. It presents a terrific opportunity to catch up with fellow members, enjoy a great meal prepared by our Chef, Fernando, and celebrate this year’s achievements.
We’re delighted to have Run Club member Nick Bangs, who will share his experience of running his first marathon, this year’s Sydney Marathon. Nick will discuss his training programme, the challenges he faced, and what race day was like, sharing insights that will inspire anyone who has undertaken a major athletic event. Join us for an afternoon of stories, celebration, and community.
We will also present the “Richard McGrath Run Club Member of the Year” award.
Chess Club Final Night of the Year

Thank you to everyone who has joined a chess night this year. We’ve arrived at our final meeting of the year, and we’d love to see you join us once again. Our very own member and chess maestro, Alistair, will be on hand to help you sharpen your skills, share his tips, and even go head-to-head if you’re feeling brave!
If you are a beginner, a long-time player, or someone returning to chess after many years, you are warmly invited to join us. The Chess Club is all about creating a relaxed, social, and inclusive atmosphere where members can learn, play, and improve at their own pace.
