Our February whisky, the Arran Barrel Reserve Single Malt Scotch, comes from Arran distillery in Scotland, one of the two distilleries on the Isle of Arran on Scotland’s West Coast. The distillery boasts an ideal spot for production and distribution of whisky with warm fresh sea air, close proximity to the mainland and an abundance of fresh soft water. The Island has a reputation for producing the highest quality whisky.

Young Member Grace Aulakh, a regular face in the Club since she joined about a year ago, reviewed this whisky together with her dad from whom she got her love for whisky.

Their thoughts on this month’s whisky:

“My dad (Dr Navneet Singh Aulakh) introduced me to his whiskey collection as a treat for my 18th birthday. He taught me almost everything I know and can be credited for my appreciation of good whiskey.

Colour – Pale gold
Nose – Fresh fruity notes with a hint of spice
Palate – True to smell fresh fruity, woody with a touch of cinnamon/nutmeg
Water – 2-3 drops (recommended) or to taste
Finish – Taste of cinnamon/nutmeg lingers on”

Thank you Grace for taking the time to review February’s whisky!
