Two Swims

Two Golds

Two New Records.

The Tattersalls Athletic Department is still reminiscing about one of our most successful outings at NSW Masters Swimming.

We have already highlighted Paris Zhang’s amazing effort, which saw Paris leave the competition with a swag of medals and records to her name. But Paris wasn’t the only swimmer who etched her name in the record books. Guy Farrow, our April Athletic Department  Member of the Month, made sure that record keepers were busy both days of the championships.

On the first morning of the meet, Guy broke the State record for the men’s 100 m freestyle 60+ age range, hitting the wall in a blistering time of 1.00.20, smashing the previous record and setting the tone for the rest of the Tattersalls swimmers.

Day 2 saw Guy go one step further, breaking the National record for the men’s 50 m freestyle, stopping the clock in 26.32s, taking home his second medal and bragging rights for the day.

Moving up in the age bracket hasn’t slowed Guy’s ambition or drive—in fact, it has lit a flame and provided the catalyst for some amazing goals.

With the next event (a short course event) already locked into Guy’s calendar, we are positive we will be writing about more records being broken and even more medals coming back to Tattersalls.

Well done, Guy. Congratulations on your achievements, and good luck in Woy Woy.
