It’s been another great year of football, but consistency has been the biggest issue of the season thus far all except one team (the team that shall not be named), ok fine, ‘Collingwood’. There we said it. Swans with a huge win over the weekend and of course everyone’s favourite the Mighty Carlton blues are back on the winner’s list.
As always there has been plenty of upsets, close games, and a few blowouts with the top 8 starting to take shape, as teams use the backend of the year to set themselves up for a tilt at the Premiership.
Let’s have a look t how the top of the tipping table stands after 15 rounds:
Tony Happell has a strong lead as we hit the midseason bye rounds. He started off the season very strong and has not looked like slowing. Orazio is within striking distance and a small traffic jam rounds out the top 3.
Tony Happell – 90
Orazio Flantasia – 86
Shenny2707 – 85
RWC2023 – 85
Marc Dowdle – 85
AFL tipsters are heading to the SCG! We are looking at going to the final Swans home game against Melbourne at the end of August. The AFL has not released the fixture details for that round just yet so we will advise the final details once released in the coming weeks.
We are also asking Members who hold a Platinum SCG membership if you would be willing to lend them to the Club for the game. As always, any assistance is greatly appreciated!
SAVE THE DATE – AFL Grand Final Viewing Party
Finally, we will be holding our annual AFL Grand Final Viewing Party in the Members’ Bar at 13:30 Saturday 30 September so please put the date in your diaries. More details will be released soon.
