Dear Members,

It’s with great pleasure and excitement I can share with you news of the appointment of our new General Manager, Will Pettigrew.

Some of you may know Will from his previous role as the CEO of another prestigious Sydney institution, Royal Sydney Yacht Squadron. There, Will successfully expanded and evolved the Squadron’s offer to suit the changing needs of its members.

Will brings us deep experience in restaurant operations, food & wine and member services leadership, including managing complex sporting operations. He arrives at Tattersalls inspired by the opportunity to lead our team as we continue to improve the benefits of Tattersalls Club membership for you.

With the arrival of the 10th anniversary of women’s membership and as the city recovers its vibrancy following the pandemic, the committee looks forward to Will’s leadership at this particularly exciting time.

I’d like to thank our recruitment sub-committee – Michael Hanrahan, Janet Pennington and Jim Tate – for their efforts through a detailed recruitment process which we all agree has found us a standout candidate in Will.  I also want to thank Sara Peelgrane, who has done an outstanding job as our Interim General Manager and has kindly agreed to stay on to give Will every assistance as he steps into his new role.

Will starts as Tattersalls Club Secretary and General Manager on 04 March and I know you’ll join me in welcoming him when you see him.
