The Archibald Prize, first awarded in 1921, is Australia’s favourite art award and one of its most prestigious. Awarded to the best portrait painting, it’s a who’s who of Australian culture – from politicians to celebrities, sporting heroes to artists.
Our ever-popular Archibald Prize tours are planned for the start of the exhibition, and Members have two choices this year.
We start with a private guided tour of the 2024 Archibald Prize Exhibit at the Art Gallery of NSW. The fabulous guides at the Art Gallery have a great knowledge of the art and artists and will help bring the artworks to life! After the hour-long tour, we will continue the evening with a delicious three-course sharing dinner at ‘Crafted by Matt Moran’ at the Gallery.
This is one of our most popular events on the calendar and has limited spots available. Each evening is limited to 20 people maximum, so make sure to reserve your space!
