One of our favourite sports in the Club has finally made the Olympics by being included in the 2028 LA Olympic programme! But what you may not know is that next March you will be able to see the best squash players in the world playing in the illustrious glass backcourt in Martin Place during the 2024 Squash Australian Open tournament.

Matches will also be played at Sydney University and our very own Tattersalls Club court!

As we await the open tournament, explore recent updates from our local competitions:

Inter Club Championship – Tuesday 24 October

From action, closer to home, with the closure of the City Houses season, the Interclub matches resumed between Royal Sydney, Tattersalls Club, Union, Universities and Schools Club and Killara Golf Club.

A wonderful evening of squash was played, with UUSC winning 6, Tattersalls 4 and Royal Sydney 2 matches on the night.

The Intra club ladder after 2 rounds is as follows :
Royal Sydney – 9 points
Tattersalls Club – 8 points
UUSC – 6 points
Killara Golf Club – 1 point

The upcoming Inter Club round is scheduled for early December at your Club. All four clubs will compete for the coveted bragging rights, followed by a delightful dinner and drinks at the Members Bar for all participants.

Intra Club Round Robin – Thursday 07 December

The Intraclub Championship has recommenced following a brief pause during the City-wide City Houses competition. George Deubler and Nigel Robinson have emerged as the first players to secure spots in the semifinals. Over the coming week, the remaining participants will conclude their group matches, and we will soon announce the semifinal draw. The grand finale will happen on December 07, just before the year’s ultimate Michelle Martin Cup tournament and the festive Squash Christmas feast!
