Thursday 22nd April from 18:00

Beer gets a bad rap. The less sophisticated cousin of essentially all other alcoholic beverages, is as complex and characterful as any Bordeaux premier cru.

It is also an industry no less competitive than any other. Within an alcoholic beverage market worth some $16.3 billion, beer comprises about 48% compared to wine at 29% and spirits at 21%.

With the brewing behemoths of Lion & Carlton controlling the majority, what does it take to build a successful brand?

Dan Hampton (Co-owner), accompanied by Jessie Searls (Head Brewer) and Redmond Beales (Ambassador), will reveal insights and stories of the rollercoaster ride to becoming one of the most respected craft brewers in the country.

With the maxim to ‘serve the people’, the first Young Henrys beers were brewed in March 2012. The idea was pretty simple: brew beer the local community would enjoy and be proud to call their own. As much as they’ve grown, that’s remained fundamentally the same. Only these days ‘their community’ goes far beyond the geographical and has evolved to include like-minded folk throughout Australia, united by the values held dear – music, art, culture and community.

$60 for a paired tasting menu, matched with the 6 core range beers and cider.
