Thursday 14 November from 17:30

We’re thrilled to invite our Members for expressions of interest to an exclusive evening of culture and elegance on Thursday 14 November, as we attend the world premiere of Oscar by The Australian Ballet at the iconic Sydney Opera House.

Our evening will begin with an early dinner at the Club, starting at 17:30, followed by a short trip to the Opera House for the 19:30 performance. Oscar©, a new full-length ballet by Tony Award-winning choreographer Christopher Wheeldon, delves into the life and writings of the legendary Oscar Wilde. Known for his work on “An American in Paris” and “MJ The Musical”, Wheeldon brings his unique blend of whimsy, drama, and visual storytelling to this groundbreaking production.

The ballet interweaves Wilde’s beloved works, “The Nightingale and the Rose” and “The Picture of Dorian Gray”, with breathtaking choreography, Jean-Marc Puissant’s dynamic sets, and a captivating score by Joby Talbot.

Don’t miss this visually stunning and emotionally powerful experience.

If you’re interested in joining us for this unforgettable evening, please email us your expression of interest to events@tattersallsclub.org by Wednesday 11 September.
