“Frankland River is arguably the epicentre of Great Southern shiraz, the Riversdale Vineyard always in the frame. There is a combination of blackberry, pepper, spice and red liquorice, classy tannins underwriting the longevity of a very good wine.” James Halliday

Want to impress your oenophile in-laws? Go with our recommendation. As Halliday mentioned, wines from the Frankland River region are increasingly being recognised for producing Western Australia’s best shiraz.

We have brought back the Singlefile Single Vineyard Shiraz but this time with a new vintage. The above statement from Halliday was released on 13 August 2021 in regards to this 2019 vintage which he has rated 96 points. This medium bodied shiraz shows power and complexity, where cool nights and warm days with long sunshine hours provide a Mediterranean climate.

Made to be enjoyed with fine food and good friends, come along into the Club and rate this wine with your fellow Members who may also enjoy their cool climate medium bodied red.
