Tuesday 8th March from 18:00

This year the Club is hosting an after-work fireside chat to celebrate International Women’s Day.

We have chosen to highlight two incredible women who have overcome trauma through creativity, advocating against bias around domestic violence and abuse victim/survivors and asylum seekers and refugees.

Melanie Jai, Founder of The Paper Boat Project. Melanie is a Sydney-based visual artist, advocate, and collaborator. She is passionate about casting a light on the long term physical and psychological damage caused by child abuse, sexual assault, and domestic violence.

Hani Abdile. Hani is a writer, student and spoken word poet, who was forced to leave her home country of Somalia, coming to Australia alone at the age of just 17, seeking protection in 2014.

$50 person includes drinks and canapes, limited tickets available.
