On a fine Tuesday afternoon in warm weather with a breeze, 20 players including members and guests took part in the last golf day for the 2023 year at the spectacular NSW Golf Course.
With a shotgun start at 13:30, the field all departed and returned together on the extremely challenging layout. There were plenty of tales of “what could have been” and “if only”. With the comradely building, it is great to see the Golf Sub Club thriving.
The winners on the day were as follows:
First: Alan Israel with 37 points
Second: Scott Menzies with 36 points
Third: Ian Hedley with 35 points
Longest Drive: Ian Hedley
Nearest to the Pin: Keiran Horth
We play four events during the year with the best three scores out of the four being used to determine the winner of the coveted Victor Audette Shield, which can only be won by a member.
Our annual Christmas presentation lunch is being held at the club on Friday, 8 December 2023 from 12 noon until 15:00. I hope to see as many members and guests as possible. If you and/or your guest can make it, then let Jared know so you can be included.
