On a day with darkening skies, 19 members with some guests tee’d off at 9am on the picturesque New South Wales Golf Course at La Perouse. With everyone hoping that the rain predicted to be heavy around 12 noon would be delayed until we finished, such hopes were dashed with storms rolling in after we had played 6 holes. With thoughts of maybe making 9 holes and calling it quits, the rain eased and gave us another 2 hours of overcast conditions until the heavens opened again with about 4 holes left to play. The round was finished by all with some outstanding scores.
