This August the Athletic Department invites you to test your strength and endurance with our Workout of the Month: the EMOM Sled-Based Challenge. Perfect for those short on time but eager to push their limits, this high-intensity workout takes just 5 minutes to complete!

Here’s how it works: EMOM stands for “Every Minute on the Minute.” For this workout, you’ll load the sled with the equivalent of your bodyweight and push it back and forth the length of the carpeted area in the Athletic Department.

Start at the top of each minute and aim to complete the push within that 60-second window (the AD team can set the stop clock for you).
Whatever time remains in the minute is your rest period before the next push begins. Repeat this for a total of 5 times through.

The beauty of this workout lies in its efficiency, In just 5 minutes, you’ll challenge your muscles, boost your cardiovascular endurance, and sharpen your mental toughness. Whether you’re using it as a dynamic warm-up to fire up your body before a main workout or as a powerful finisher to cap off your training session, the EMOM sled push delivers results without taking up a lot of time.

Our sled-based workout is scalable to fit different fitness levels. Just ensure your sled is loaded correctly and focus on maintaining proper form throughout the session. Need guidance or adjustments? Our expert trainers are here to help!
