We came, we rowed, and we almost conquered.

Last Friday, we took on the world and won (not technically, but we did have more fun).

The latest edition of our interactive workout series saw us head to the squash court to row against some of the biggest private clubs in the Northern Hemisphere. Taking on the Arbutus Club (Vancouver), The Glencoe Club (Calgary) and the Denver Athletic Club (Denver), Tattersalls held our own in the first heat of the 4000mt row.

Winning the first heat in a blistering time of 15mins 10sec for the distance covered, Tattersalls had set the standard for the world to try and beat. Our second heat saw us produce some more amazing results, again finishing in a new record time of 14 minutes and 45 seconds—we were on top of the world.

Having been one of the first clubs to finish in the two races, Tattersalls staff were feeling confident of a clean sweep and bragging rights for the year. Unfortunately, the Arbutus club had a different idea, saving their best rower till last.

Following the rules and sitting nicely, our Tattersalls team started the final heat in form and on track. Once the 8-minute set time allotment was completed, our rowers went for glory. At this stage, the Canadian rowers also went for it, sitting at breakneck speed for the distance. The Arbutus rower completed the 4000mts in 14 minutes and 20 seconds.

It was declared a draw between all four clubs, with all those who participated being the winners. Once again, this event highlighted our reciprocal network, and the camaraderie shared in our ongoing relationship with the North American Association of Club Athletic Directors – NACAD network.

With only 359 more days till the next event, we are already counting down to making an impact worldwide.
