We all remember cross country running from our school days: long runs that gave the teachers an excuse to relax for 50 minutes!
Most of us despised it, but some loved it, some even counted down to cross country day. One of those people is our very own Naomi Tancred.
Naomi turned that passion into excellence and recently took out the NSW State Cross Country Championships held at Scarborough Park.
Taking place on a day that can only be described as wetter than an otters pocket, Naomi dominated the field from start to finish, crossing the finish line in 43 minutes, 26 seconds which, for a standard 10km run is blistering, but considering the course is all uneven and off-track makes the accomplishment all the more epic!
So congratulations Naomi for your truly amazing athletic achievements!
