Last Thursday 10 August was a beautiful clear day and 24 members and guests took part in the third Tattersalls golf day for 2023 at the underrated Concord Golf Course. As you pulled into the course you could see the manicured fairways and unassuming greens little did we know those greens would be the main talking point after the round.
All groups finished at around the same time just as the wind started to pick up and were treated to sandwiches, pastries, and drinks. Amongst all the discussions a presentation was held, Sam Schumann came out on top for the day, but Oliver was the talk of the group as he claimed three prizes for the day.
The winners on the day were as follows:
First: Sam Schumann with 35 points
Second: Oliver Quach with 33 points
Third: Ian Hedley with 32 points
Longest Drive: Oliver Quach
Nearest to the Pin: Oliver Quach
We play 4 events during the year with the best 3 scores out of the 4 being used to determine the winner of the coveted Victor Audette Shield which can only be won by a member. The remaining Golf Day for the year is:
New South Wales Golf Club on Tuesday 14 November 2023 at 13:30.
In addition to our final golf day, we have a trip to Orange from Friday 13 to Sunday 15 October 2023 which follows the success of the recent Hunter Valley trip. In addition to two rounds of golf, we have wine tastings and dinners.
We are again holding our Christmas presentation lunch at the Club at 12:30 Friday 8 December 2023.
